Anna Faris has a new idea for a House Bunny sequel: Shelley as a CIA interrogator

Elucidate on this! Anna Faris is sharing her dream for a potential House Bunny sequel — and, yes, it involves Shelley undergoing yet another massive career change.

The actress, who played a retired Playboy-bunny-turned-sorority-house-mom in the 2008 film, told PEOPLE that she initially thought her character would’ve gone onto become a dreadfully bad country singer, but has since changed her tune over the years.

"Then I was thinking, no, she should be a CIA interrogator,” Faris told the outlet. “Her skill is disarming people because she is perceived, and she is, as so open and nonjudgmental. So I was imagining Shelley saying, 'Oh, what do I do for work? I'm a CIA interrogator.’”

The House Bunny turns 10: In praise of Anna Faris' silly-sweet Playboy comedy

She added, "Let's write a script. I would love that."

The job would be an excellent — and very out-of-the-box — next step for Shelley, who proved in the original film that she has a knack for remembering names (courtesy of her Exorcist voice), can adopt different disguises, and talk... very awkwardly about current politics when a date requires it. Plus, she's pro-Hawaii!

While speaking with PEOPLE, Faris also credited the endlessly optimistic, singular Mahi-loving character with changing her overall outlook on life.

"Fundamentally, career stuff aside, playing a character that had so much compassion and lack of judgment, a character who really led with her heart,” she explained. “It sounds really corny, but I think it made me feel like it was easier to make friends in a weird way."

Anna Faris recalls her favorite roles

Especially since Shelley wasn’t “competitive with other people," preferring to shower others with praise and lift them up instead.

"That made me want to lead my life with compliments,” Faris continued. “It felt like kind of a way to combat jealous feelings."
