Bachelor host Jesse Palmer would excel on The Traitors, says Wells Adams

When it comes to sniffing out who to trust and who to banish on The Traitors, contestants from the Bachelor franchise don't have a great track record. Last year, former Bachelor Peter Weber got banished in episode 9, and this season, Bachelorette contestant-turned-Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams was sent packing in week two.

But according to Adams, there's one citizen of Bachelor Nation who would shine on The Traitors: None other than host Jesse Palmer. "He's super cerebral, and he's got that quarterback mind. You can give him a lot of lines and he doesn't need an in-ear to spout 'em out," Adams tells Entertainment Weekly. "He can memorize everything because he’s got that quarterback mind of like, 'All right, the play is X, Y, and Z.' He would be probably really good at being able to remember all the things people did to be able to suss it out. After every day I'd go write in my journal. Like, '[Here's] who did this and that.' And I imagine Jesse would be really good at that."

Should Palmer be too busy with his multiple other jobs — in addition to hosting all things Bachelor, the former New York Giants quarterback also serves as a college football analyst for ESPN and hosts the Spring Baking Championship on Food Network — Adams has two other Bachelor family suggestions for Traitors casting directors. Season 20 Bachelor Ben Higgins "would be a good Faithful," he says. "He's so likable, but also he could be manipulated so easily because he’s soooo nice."

And now for an even deeper cut, all the way from season 13 of The Bachelorette, back in 2017. "We had this guy named Alex Bordyukov on the show. He was Russian, and he's like a Mensa genius," says Adams. "For a long time, I thought that he was a Russian spy and Putin wanted to have him infiltrate the reality TV world. [Laughs] But he was so smart, that he would be really good at it." Odds are he'd at least do better than he did on Bachelor in Paradise season 8, where he was booted after just one week.

The Traitors season 3 is streaming now on Peacock.
