2025 Critics Choice Awards: See the full winners list

The critics have spoken.

The 2025 Critics Choice Awards handed out their honors Friday evening, with director Sean Baker's scrappy dramedy Anora taking the top film prize and FX's historical epic Shōgun emerging as a big winner in the TV categories.

Hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler, back for her third stint, the ceremony live aired live on E! from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. The event had been postponed twice due to the Los Angeles wildfires, and Handler opened the show by paying tribute to firefighters, the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity volunteers, and others helping the city deal with the devastation.

Heading into the evening, the splashy screen adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked had tied the papal succession drama Conclave for the most nominations in the film categories, with 11 apiece. On the small screen, Shōgun led the pack with six nods.
